Acquisition professionals play an important role in the management and future success of the OCC. Their expertise is crucial in helping the OCC procure the complex services and supplies necessary for achieving the agency’s goals and mission.

Acquisitions at the OCC

As part of the OCC’s acquisition management team, you will oversee the agency’s acquisition services and work to safeguard OCC resources. Through diligent stewardship of finances and facilitation of the procurement process, you will work with a team focused on achieving operational excellence and delivering effective, timely solutions.

On a daily basis, you will:

  • Serve as a contracting official responsible for providing acquisition support to help meet the OCC’s goals.
  • Collaborate with agency leaders, partners, and employees to develop contracting strategies and advise on contracting actions.
  • Interpret and implement the Federal Acquisition Regulation, the Department of Treasury Acquisition Regulation and applicable agency directives.
  • Serve as a group member or task force leader on procurement issues, including streamlining the contracting process, data analysis, and outreach efforts to minorities, women, and individuals with disabilities.
